| Located in the heart of the historic Carrousel District in downtown Mansfield, Main Street Books is an independently owned and operated bookstore. We opened at this location in January of 1994.
An original tin ceiling and chandeliers made from 100 year-old molds enhance the ambience of this historic spot. Hand-painted murals on the walls highlight various sections of the store. A soft-sculpture Jack climbing the decorated "h-vac" Beanstalk leads you into the world of children's books.
Our brown bag book group meets the last Tuesday of each month at 12:30 in our reading loft where we share a sandwich, coffee, and cookies and a chat about the month's book selection.
We participate in the "First Friday" Shop Hop each month from 5 to 9 and often feature local authors as our guests. Stop in and enjoy a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres.
