Intro to Tai Ch’i Ch’uan
(Six week session, $60.00 )

This class will cover the first third of the 37 posture Short Yang form developed by Professor Cheng Man Ch’ing. You will learn Tai Ch’i walking, breathing, and posture as well as basic movements such as the Grasp Sparrow’s Tail sequence, Single Whip and Brush Knee Twist Step. A warm up and cool down using the Eight Silk Weaving Chi Gung exercises will also be taught as part of the class. No previous Tai Ch’i or Yoga experience required. Please contact Bob to register.

This class is a vigorous practice introducing you to the Full Primary practice taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois. This practice is great for new yogis and old. By introducing asanas (poses) to the beginners and allowing a focus for the regular practicing yogi. This will be a 90 minute practice that will create heat and help build a good practice.

This class will be very similar to the Primary Series taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, In this class the instructor will be adding and removing some asanas (poses) from traditional Primary Series. This will be a vigorous practice about 90 minutes long. A great class to challenge yourself with new asanas and give you something different. Students can request asanas at the beginning of the practice that will be incorporated. We will stop for extra practice on challenging asanas. Each week will be different allowing everyone to explore as much as possible. The class will be open for question and comments to make it a fun learning experience.

Moon Salute (FREE)

This class will focus on a lot of standing postures. A vigorous practice that will bring heat throughout the body. It will start out with the Sun Salutations than move into the Moon Salutations and ending with traditional finishing Poses. This is not a class for someone looking to try Yoga for the first time. Students should know the Sun Salutations prior to attending.

This class is dedicated to anyone looking to try Yoga for the first time. Focusing on breath and basic asanas (poses). this is an hour long class allowing new Yogis to discover the beauty of Ashtanga Yoga. This class won't be too vigorous, but plan to build some heat and sweat!
